Chief, National Guard Bureau Thanksgiving and Military Family Appreciation Week message

National Guard Bureau --  It is fitting that this year we are celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday during Military Family Appreciation Week. As Chief of the National Guard Bureau, I am deeply grateful to our National Guard members and their families for all the hard work accomplished amidst the challenges of military service during time of war. You and your families are among the great blessings that Americans can count on year after year.

I encourage every Citizen Soldier and Airman to give thanks for the gifts of liberty and the joy of family. My wife, Cheryl, and I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
