F-84 “Thunderstreak”

The swept-wing F-84F evolved from the straight-wing F-84. It was first delivered to the USAF in 1954, primarily to the Tactical Air Command as the ground support fighter-bomber. The “F” on display was built by General Motors at Kansas City, Mo., and was last flown by the 183rd Tactical Fighter Group, IL ANG, from Springfield, IL.

There are 2 known Republic F-84 Thunderstreaks on display in Wisconsin.
