F-100C “Super Sabre”

The F-100 was the first operational USAF fighter to fly at supersonic speed in level flight. The first production model was completed in 1953. It made its combat debut in the Vietnam War where it was used extensively. The “-C” on display at Volk Field was last flown by the 132nd Tactical Fighter Wing, IA ANG, from Des Moines, IA.
