CMSgt Maria Chew is the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC), Volk Field Air National Guard Base, Camp Douglas, Wisconsin. She advises the Commander of trends affecting the enlisted force and oversees the health, morale, welfare, discipline, and fitness of 309 Airmen assigned to CRTC, 128th Air Control Squadron, and 126th Weather Flight.
Chief Chew first enlisted in February 1999; she began her military career in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as an Administrative Specialist and later transferred into Army Aviation as a UH-60 Helicopter Crew Chief and Standardization Instructor. In 2010, she enlisted in the Wisconsin Air National Guard as a Personnel Apprentice. Her background encompasses a myriad of positions and assignments as the Administration Base Functional Manager, Manpower and Personnel Superintendent, and Security Forces Manager.
Prior to her current position, Chief Chew was the Mission Support Group Senior Enlisted Leader with the 115th Mission Support Group, 115th Fighter Wing, Truax Field, Madison, Wisconsin. Chief Chew has deployed in support of Operation New Horizons, Bright Star, and Enduring Freedom.
