CMSgt Maria Chew is the Mission Support Group Senior Enlisted Leader at the 115th Fighter Wing, Truax Field, Madison, Wisconsin. She leads and manages the organization, training, and equipping of personnel and squadrons to support the Air and Space Expedition Force construct. She oversees personnel resources, enforces policies, and implements procedures to achieve mission goals. She also improves operational efficiency and resolves issues between squadrons, other groups, wing staff, and external agencies.
Chief Chew first enlisted in February 1999; she began her military career in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as an Administrative Specialist and later transferred into Army Aviation as a UH-60 Helicopter Crew Chief and worked her way to becoming a Standardization Instructor. In 2010, she enlisted in the Wisconsin Air National Guard as a Personnel Apprentice. Her background encompasses a myriad of positions and assignments as the Administration Base Functional Manager, Manpower and Personnel Superintendent, and Force Support Squadron Senior Enlisted Leader. Prior to her current position, Chief Chew was the Security Forces Manager for the 115th Security Forces Squadron, 115th Fighter Wing, Truax Field, Madison, Wis. Chief Chew has deployed in support of Operation New Horizons, Bright Star, and Enduring Freedom.
