Raising reception tents for the arrival of Afghans at Volk Field

U.S. Marines from Marine Wing Support Squadron 471 and U.S. Air National Guard Airmen from the Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) work together to raise reception tents for the arrival of Afghans at Volk Field Air National Guard Base, Wisconsin, Aug. 19, 2021. The Department of Defense, in support of the Department of State, is providing transportation and temporary housing in support of Operation Allies Refuge. This initiative follows through on America's commitment to Afghan citizens who have helped the United States, and provides them essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan.
