As vice commander, Lt Col Thomas Bauer assists the commander in ensuring that objectives, policies, and operational directives are effectively executed within the three organizations at Volk Field Air National Guard Base, Camp Douglas, Wisconsin.
Lt Col Bauer received his commission in 2006 after graduating from the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science at McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Knoxville, Tennessee.
His past assignments include the 115th Mission Support Group Deputy Commander, 115th Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander, 115th Communications Flight Commander, the Operations Officer for the 115th Force Support Squadron and the Operations Officer for the 115th Logistics Readiness Squadron.
